Heidi & Joe’s Lobster Boil – Lobsterfest 2010 – Charlotte Event Photography

We were asked to shoot this annual event that Heidi & Joe hold at their home as a way to raise money for our veterans. It was a HOT summer day. I mean really hot and REALLY humid. But with a bounce house, live music, an Elvis impersonator and a truckload of fresh lobsters, I’m pretty sure I wasn’t complaining. Being there, it was the epitome of what summer is.

I love France, the French language, and everything French.

I am deathly afraid of bugs.

I was in choir all four years in high school.

I like anything strawberry-flavored.

I wanted to be a storm-chaser.

"Redeeming Love" is the best book. Ever.

I have 4 kids. All are ages 5 and under. They are my life.

I miss Chicago.

I am a really hopeless romantic.

My husband is my soul-mate.

I like Tom's. I wear them when I do errands. I wear them to church. I wear them everywhere.

I love to laugh.

I make lists. For everything.

My worst habit is nail-biting.

I love red lipstick.

My favorite smell is lavender.

I love my beach-cruiser.

My priorities are as follows: God, family, work.

I am a perfectionist with OCD tendencies. It's a good thing in my line of work.

Richard Avedon is my favorite photographer.

I love good photographs & I love taking photographs of people.
