These two lived only 12 miles away from each other in North Carolina, but met for the first time 5,000miles away in Buenos Aires. How does THAT happen?! Both Aurea and Kevin were studying abroad in Argentina at the time and met in the only bar in Buenos Aires that showed their rival school matches (Tar Heels vs. Blue Devils). What are the chances!? A few months later, their long-distance romance began, and continued for 2 years while they flew back and forth almost every 2-3 weeks to see each other. Kevin finally left his home and both took an adventurous one week long road trip to California. After asking her parents for her hand in marriage (chivalry is not dead, yo), he surprised her with a trip to San Francisco. He pampered her with dinner and spa treatments, and a hike up for a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. At the top, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him after which she dropped to her knees, hugged him, kissed him, and eventually remembered to say “yes”.
