Okay well I haven’t shot a wedding in Paris YET. But I really REALLY want to. And I think this is the year that I will finally get to check this off of my bucket list.
Since I was a little girl, as far back as I can remember, I have had an obsession (possibly even an unhealthy one) with Paris. I fell in love with its history, the language, the architecture -everything. It is my favorite place in the entire world.
My dream to visit Paris came true almost 11 years ago when I married Alin at the tender young age of 19. We spent 3 and a half weeks in the city of love. We saw the Eiffel Tower. Cruised the Seine River. Stared in awe at the complexity and beauty of Notre Dame. Munched on crepes with Nutella. Fed pigeons in the gardens at the Louvre. Bit into French baguettes while sitting on park benches. Walked the steps of Montmarte. Stood face to face with Mona Lisa. And gasped at the site of seeing the Chenonceau for the first time -a castle I dreamed of seeing my whole life.
It was a trip I will never forget.
Sometimes I feel like I was supposed to live my life in Paris during the era of Pride and Prejudice.
I would like to go back there one day. But this time around, I want to photograph a wedding there.
For now, I will share a few images from our honeymoon that took place in March 2002. By no means was I a photographer back then. Just a girl with a Minolta, and a love for Paris.
