I definitely got a little teary-eyed at Gretchen & John’s wedding. It rained almost the entire day, so we didn’t get very many pictures outdoors, nor were we allowed to shoot in many areas of the Mint Museum, but we all did our very best. I kept observing and noticing the closeness of everyone who attended. It’s like everyone was a member of one ginormous family. Gretchen loves sewing, singing, decorating and shopping. John loves poker and yard sales, and his love for yard sales was stressed even more through the best man speech, which I thoroughly enjoyed listening to. Together they love to dance & travel and the craziest thing they’ve ever done together was zip-lining at night in the rain forests of Costa Rica. You can see their engagement session HERE and Gretchen’s bridal session HERE. Now on to their wedding day.

Gretchen’s gorgeous dress is a Marisa gown.
Her classy heels are Angela Nuran

All of the florals at the ceremony, reception, bride & bridesmaids bouquets, and guys’ boutennieres were created by the very talented Flowers From The Cellar.

The ceremony was very special for Gretchen and John, because it was officiated by her uncle who’s brother, Gretchen’s father, recently passed.

The bridesmaids dresses are designed by Aria.

The guy’s tuxes were Penguin Tuxedos.

The Mint Museum was such an amazing backdrop for their reception. Their ceremony also took place at the Mint, outdoors.

This was a a very special way for everyone to remember Gretchen’s father, as a reminder that he was there with them throughout the entire day.

The food at Gretchen & John’s wedding were by far the best we have ever eaten at any wedding. Their food was catered by La-Tea-Da’s Catering. Not only was the food tasty but their level of service is top-notch!
