Maternity Photography ~ Jessica & Jennifer ~ Charlotte Maternity Photographer

Meet Jessica & Jennifer. Both sisters and are too cute for words! This is Jessica’s first baby and Jennifer’s second. Due to bad weather predictions on this day, we planned on shooting indoors which we did for some part of it but then it cleared up later on and shot a few outdoors. I love the lighting that was given to us during our time together! Jessica and Jennifer, I pray that the both of you will have a healthy and safe delivery and I hope we will get to meet again soon!

Our New Puppy! Help Us Name Him!

So, for Christmas, all I wanted was a dog for my family and after months of researching different breeds and months of trying to convince Alin we should get one -we finally did! I have four kids ages four and under and so why would I want to add a fifth dependent member in my family? Well I have seen how happy my boys are with other people’s dogs and I felt like a dog would really complete our family unit. This lady was giving up this dog, because apparently he chases her hens, and hens can’t lay eggs when they’re terrified and so she had no choice but to give him up. SO that’s where I came in. I thought, ‘A dog who loves to chase? Perfect! He can chase my little hens (kids) any day!’

He’s a six month old miniature Schnauzer and they named him Jasper. I had applied at Schnauzer Rescues but there was a huge waiting list for young Schnauzers. Considering how small my children are, I had to be very careful with choosing the right breed and behavior around little kids. I had done quite a bit of research for the past few months and had narrowed down the breeds to either a Boxer (which I ADORE) or Schnauzers. They both seemed to fit our family lifestyle best. Alin said “heck no” to a Boxer (since we’ve had them before and though I loved them, Alin did not like how hyper they were). So anyway, he comes with the name “Jasper”, but we are thinking of changing his name to something else. This is where I need your help!

In my opinion, I think he should have a traditional older man’s name like, George, Ted, Bob, James, or Frank.

I would love to hear all of your name ideas and why.

Here are a few real quick snap shots I got of him. Isn’t he just the most darling thing? He looks like a little teddy bear to me.

UPDATE***12/22/2009*** More people have suggested to keep his name “Jasper” and I think what really convinced me was my boys. They refused to have his name changed! Thank you to everyone who took the time to give me their suggestions! They were all great names! So in the words of Ty Pennington…”Welcome home, Jasper! Welcome home.”
