Little Graham was quite the character! We had tried to photograph him at two weeks, and I knew it would be tougher than photographing a 3 or 4 day old baby, but I really didn’t want his mommy or daddy to miss out on pictures of him and so we gave it a shot. The first time around, unfortunately did not work out, since he was very awake, alert and did not want to be posed or photographed, so we let him have his way
But I was determined to get some shots of him and so I offered to come back another day, during his nap and try then. A few days later I came to the door and Graham’s mommy informed me that he was fed and passed out and I was excited to see what we could do! Although Graham was still quite the funny guy during the second session attempt, we still managed to get a couple of cute sleeping and awake shots. I’m just happy that he was happier this time around
Thanks mommy for being so patient and trusting me to document this precious time in Graham’s life!
Graham sure did have a gorgeous set of hair!
You might remember this picture from yesterday’s Recipe Mondays post, and how I converted it to black & white. But I’ve decided I like it better in color![]()

I thought this was so cool. This cradle was passed on from cousin to cousin for the past 30-some years, and now it’s Graham’s turn to use it. And the plaques are the names of each baby in the family that got to sleep in it. Neat, huh?

Isn’t he quite the funny guy?
I just love everything about this picture. It is exactly what motherhood is all about. You keep smiling in the midst of all the chaos.
