Emily & Michael were married November 7, 2009 and it was such a happy day! Another great event took place that day & it was Alin’s first time as a second shooter and not just an assistant! This wonderful husband of mine has been by my side and in the shadows assisting at about 40 or so weddings and things have gotten so busy with my company in the last few months I couldn’t think of anyone better to take on as my second shooter. He is the best of the best at whatever he puts his mind to and learns quicker than anyone I know. Plus, he’s got a great eye! I think he did a wonderful job for his first time around and I am so happy to have him joining me in shooting from now on! Here’s a shot I got of him at the wedding.
This bride is one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet. And what a contagious laugh she has too! She is such a natural & classic beauty, she almost reminds me a little bit of Audrey Hepburn in a way. Michael, I could tell by being with them throughout the day, that he’s just one of those guys that has a giving spirit and that is so admirable to me! Emily & Michael’s ceremony took place at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, and their reception held at Byron’s South End which by the way, OMG the best Shrimp n’ Grits I’ve ever had!
I loved the lighting where Emily was getting ready, and though the room was inside the church, it had almost a ‘lofty’ feel to it. Enjoy!

One of my favorite getting ready shots. It’s so raw and just so great to see what really goes on behind the scenes.
I love how strange this feels. Star Wars curtain in the background, her hand up in the air, and the sun flaring through the the top right window, it almost seems sci-fi to me.

I love how emotional Emily was while getting dressed.

Alin shot the one below. I just love her facial expression here.
Love this shot Alin got of the church.
Like I said, Emily has the greatest laugh/smile. This is her and one of her bridesmaids outside the church just before the ceremony.
I can practically still hear her sighing here just before she walked into the church.
Alin got this next shot of Emily walking down the aisle with her father before they closed the doors on us. We weren’t allowed to take pictures during the ceremony.
Just married!
Traditional altar portrait.

Emily you are just stunning.
My angle below.
Alin’s angle below.
How photogenic are these two?? I mean come on guys! You rock!

One of my favorites of the day was shot by Alin below. Nice work, babe!
I love how much fun Emily makes taking pictures.

Aren’t the colors delicious?
Emily & Michael’s first dance.

I love this moment between Emily’s parents.

Now it’s time for some ridiculous dance moves 101.

Now let’s finish it off with a very random Bride & Groom portrait.
