This week’s I ♥ Faces contest category is “nostalgia”. Basically a photo that I have taken that takes me back to the past and reminds me of it. So I chose this one. It’s of my oldest, Charlie. Every time I look at this, I am reminded of my own childhood. Look at his walk. His attitude. His “I own you” squinty-eyed look. I just can’t help but remember when I was a kid and how I thought that the world was in my hands. And how I wanted everyone to know that I was the boss and that no one could bring me down. I also remember wanting to grow up, (and grow up fast), and get married and have kids so that I could tell them what to do. Ha! Now married, and four kids later, although I love my life, my husband and my kids, sometimes I wish I could go back to when I was 6 and not be in such a hurry to grow up. That’s why I chose this picture.

So I’m not sure who follows this blog regularly, but if there are any of you out there that do, you may notice that I haven’t been able to keep with with this blogging thing for the past couple of weeks. I’ve been busy backing up 30,000 or so files, editing weddings, ordering, preparing for bridal shows and all the while trying to make time for my husband and my family. I usually only blog when I have a little bit of “spare time”. And I’ve been so busy this month with work, that in my “spare time”, I choose to spend that time with my husband and/or my kids. So I do not apologize for not having the time to keep up with this on a daily basis. My business motto has been, is, and always will be “God First, Family First and a Half, Photography & Business Third”. With that said, I have tons of sessions, a wedding, and some personal photos to share on here. I just have to finish editing what I need to edit first to people I have made promises to.
