FREE SESSION & FREE CD! ~ Charlotte Portrait Photographer

As I have mentioned before, I am “portfolio-building” for my portraits website in order to start booking some portrait sessions in addition to the weddings that I shoot throughout the year. This May, I will start advertising in the Little Ones magazine here in Charlotte (which by the way, I LOVE to read), and so I would love some fresh new faces for my portfolio and for my new ad! There will be four separate contests and only ONE winner in each category! EACH winner will receive the following:

~2-4 hour photo session
~CD with 25-40 finished images from session
~Photographer Release
~Possibility to appear in the Summer 2009 issue of Little Ones magazine.

Please email your photo entries NO LATER THAN MARCH 16, 2009 by 11:59pm EST! to caroline@carolineghetes.com with your name, email, and phone number.

***RULES & REQUIREMENTS (please read before entering):
1. Winner must be available and able to shoot in or around the Charlotte area.
2. You must email a photo with your contact info (name, email, phone) NO LATER THAN MARCH 16, 2009 by 11:59 pm EST, in order to be considered.
3. The contest does not apply to already scheduled sessions in-state or out-of-state.
4. Winner must be willing to sign a Model Release form.
5. Spread the word of this contest to everyone you know! And I mean EVERYONE!

Hard Hats ~ Charlotte Children’s Photographer

So our Gas was out a couple of weeks ago, and so we were left with no heat for a day/night. And it was cold too. Charlie & Tristan thought it would be great to put on their hard hats and tools and see if they could fix the house. Some really funny quotes I heard them say during the day:

“It’s okay “Lolly” (aka Charlie), we’re gonna fix the house! Becus (aka because), becus we’re “SUPERhurrows” (aka superheroes)! ~Tristan (age 2)

“Mommy, I wanna wear the crayon (aka contractor’s pencil) right here. Right here on my ear, like Tati, because I’m a BIG boy!” ~Charlie

Then they were going around the house and measuring things and hammering things and trying to “fix” the house.

I gotta’ love ‘em. As stressed out as I was that day, they never failed to make me laugh.

Wedding Album ~ Angie & Ruben ~ Charlotte Wedding Photographer

So I just finished the album design for Angie & Ruben and wanted to share with you the pages in their album. I don’t use templates, because I like to design the pages as I go, and I think that templates limit my creativity in that area. I can’t wait to see their finished album which will be a 12×18 portrait orientation. Each of the images below is a 24×18 spread (which is two 12×18 pages).
