It’s Blog Reader Appreciation Day! Win a $10 iTunes Gift Card!

I’ve posted a slideshow video below that shows my best of 2008 weddings. I am so thankful for all of my past and future clients! I am also very thankful to my blog readers and your support! 2008 has been hard for me and my family, because we were put in certain situations that I didn’t think we would ever be in. But I know God knows what He is doing and I know that no matter what, He looks out for us and through all of our trials, I still have witnessed and experienced many of His blessings. I believe in every single word of the Bible whole-heartedly, therefore when I read this, I believe in it with my whole heart.

1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: 3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. -Deuteronomy 28:1-3

Amen! And for my faithful blog readers, I wanted to show my appreciation. It’s really not much, but I wanted to give away a little something to you. More than anything, I love to laugh. So I want you to post a comment below with your favorite joke ever. It could be anything from a knock-knock to a story with a punchline. The only requirement is that we keep it clean. I will not approve the comment, if I feel it inappropriate. I will announce the winner of the $10 iTunes Gift Card on my blog tomorrow, so good luck to all of you!

A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather one morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made the daily trek to the elementary school. As the day progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother was worried that her daughter would be frightened walking back home from school, and she herself feared the electrical storm might cause her harm. Following each roar of the thunder, lightning would cut through the sky like a flaming sword. Being very concerned, the mother got into her car and drove along the route to the school.

Soon she saw her small child walking along. The thunder would boom, and then, at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look and smile. One followed another, each time with her child stopping, looking up at the streak of light and smiling. Finally, the mother called out and asked, “Honey, what are you doing?” Her little girl answered, “God keeps taking pictures of me!”

I had heard this one before so i looked it up! Kids are sooo cute!

Eric Albert - Caroline, your work is such an inspiration! Hope all is well.

Have you heard about the poor Hershey’s Chocolate employee that just got let go? (Not because of the economy.) You see his job was to complete the final check of the M&Ms before packaging and he insisted on discarding all of the W’s that he saw. Poor guy.

Meghan Nygren - You know I loveyour work. Here’s a joke I heard years ago and wish I could repeat accurately! I always screw up the story. Hugs, Meghan

A man was driving along the highway, and saw a rabbit hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the rabbit, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of the car and was hit. The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see what had become of the rabbit. Much to his dismay, the rabbit was dead. The driver felt so awful, he began to cry. A woman driving down the highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong.”I feel terrible,” he explained, “I accidentally hit this rabbit and killed it.”
The woman told the man not to worry. She knew what to do. She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead rabbit, and sprayed the contents of the can onto the rabbit.
Miraculously the rabbit came to life, jumped up, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped down the road. 50 yards away the rabbit stopped, turned around, waved and hopped down the road, another 50 yards, turned, waved and hopped another 50 yards. The man was astonished. He couldn’t figure out what substance could be in the woman’s spray can!
He ran over to the woman and asked, “What is in your spray can? What did you spray on that rabbit?”The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: “Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave.

~My Favorite Things~ #1

Okay so I am starting a new thing on my blog where I randomly list some of my favorite finds (online and off) that I think are amazing! I’m going to try to do this on Mondays, so I start tonight. (We’ll see how long this lasts).

So, since I am finally going to be having a baby girl, (after three boys), you’ll find that a lot of the things that I love are pink. Here are my favorite things this week:

Newhaven 4-in-1 Canopy Crib in Chocolate for $459 found here

Four Piece Custom Chic Paris Poodle Crib Bedding Set for $229.99 found here.

Custom Handpainted Letter Canvases for $12.00 per canvas found here.

Crystal Chandelier Wall Decal for $28.00 found here.

Chocolate Damask Rocking Chair Pads for $40.00 found here.

So as you may have probably concluded…I am pretty much saving up for everything that I just listed above for my little girl’s room. She is going to have the best room EVER.

Here is a little something from the Bible to inspire you too:

Proverbs 1:2-7 (NKJ)

2 To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, 3 to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; 4 to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion— 5 a wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, 6 to understand a proverb and an enigma, the words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
