I’m having a girl!!!

Oh my goodness! After three boys, ages 3, 2, and 9 months, God has finally decided to bless me with a girl! For the last three years, it felt almost as though I was living in a boy’s locker room. Finally! A reason for pink! (Which happens to be my favorite color). I love my three boys to death, and now I can spice it up a little with some girl drama and diva attitude! Woohoo! According to my most recent ultrasound, she seems to have a healthy heart and a great looking spine and I am the most happy and blessed about that. We are going to name her Genevieve. I have loved the french culture since I was a little girl and knew that if I ever had a daughter, that she would get a French name. I am so excited!

Blog Pictures: Okay so I know I haven’t posted any new photos recently but that is because I sold my camera and bought the new Canon 5D Mark II which still hasn’t hit stores yet. I am waiting for mine to ship from B&H photo and I cannot wait! I hope to God I get it before Christmas, because, frankly, I would be very annoyed if I couldn’t capture the Christmas festivities with this awesome new camera! So I apologize to those who have been waiting for something new. Be patient! Once I get it in my hands, I will shooting away once again! Yay!

Before you go, watch this. Probably one of the best sermons I have ever heard.

Little Angels Ministries

Hi! So! For the past year, I have had a heavy burden on my heart for moms and dads who are expecting a child but do not have the funds, let alone the luxury, to buy some of the things they need for their little ones. After giving birth, many moms leave the hospital with just their babies in blanket and cannot afford to buy a car seat. I realize that today’s economy is tough on many of us, and as a matter of fact my family is going through the toughest financial times of our life together. HOWEVER, I also know that there will always be someone in worse shape than me. There will always be someone who has been living poorly much longer, and may have never known what it is like to own something nice and new. I realize this won’t effect the economical situation much, BUT I strongly feel that if we can help each other in little ways like what I am about to suggest, that it would make a lasting impression in this blink of time in these families’ lives. Then when they are financially able to, they would hopefully pay it forward. Pay it Forward.

This is why I feel that the Lord has laid it on my heart to start Little Angels Ministries. I can’t provide new homes or cars for these families, but with the help of my friends, family, community, and YOU, I am praying and hoping that I can show up PERSONALLY in their hospital room with many baby gifts for them to take home, that they may have never been able to afford.

And just so you know, though my passion is for the expecting parents and their newborns, I would NEVER leave out any other children that these families may already have. I will most assuredly try my best to take care of ALL of their children in whichever way that I can.

How can you help? There are SO many ways for you to help including donating your good used & new items, and even your time! Here are ways you can help:

SERVICES THAT YOU COULD OFFER:
*Photography services
-It would be great if photographers in the Charlotte area could offer
their time to do portrait sessions for these families and give them a
set of prints and/or enlargements and/or CD with images.

*Babysitting/Nanny services/Mommy’s Helper
-If you are excellent with children and would like to offer yourself
to babysit for any of the families either one night a week, one night
per month, or some of you can EVEN offer yourselves everyday so that
one or both of the parents may be able to go out and work. Also, even
helping out a mother a couple of hours a week with dishes or cleaning
so she could have some time for herself would be ever so helpful!

*Remodeling & Handyman Services
-There may be a few opportunities where we could really use one or a few
of you handy men (or women) out there that would be willing to offer
your skills and help a crumbling home or repair a few things in the
home that could make family’s life easier and their home more
liveable.

****************************

Now, what I have mentioned above are just a FEW ways you could help. Please keep cleanliness in mind. Bottles, Pacifiers, nursing bras and such should be brand new and unused. So far, this is all I could come up with, but please, if you have any other way of helping, I would surely appreciate your input, ideas, and help.

When we deliver the good news to these parents (either in the hospital or in their home), we will also be ministering to them about the good Lord Jesus and will be by providing them a bible (in their language if applicable), and other resources for getting closer to the Lord.

I am just starting out with this organization and with Christmas approaching, I wanted to get a headstart right away. I am currently working on filing Non-Profit paperwork to make this all legit. Until that paperwork is filed, I cannot provide you with any guarantees that what you donate can be deducted from your taxes. Also, monetary donations are gladly accepted, however until my non-profit status is approved, I cannot guarantee that you can use it as a tax deduction. But you may make monetary donations once I have gained non-profit status.

HOW DO I DONATE?
There are a few ways.
