Stay Tuned…

A really, really, REALLY, cool bridal session will be posted first thing tomorrow morning. Don’t forget to stop by again and see it!

For now, a funny quote:

“I like to wear “Do-Not-Disturb” signs around my neck so that little kids can’t tell me knock-knock jokes. I’d say “Hey, how you doing, nephew?” “Knock-knock.” “Read the sign, punk!”

Ocean Isle Family Beach Trip

I normally try to blog everyday but I have been swamped with work these past few days. This past weekend, my brothers, Francois with his wife Linda, and Genaro with his girlfriend Gaby, all came to visit us here in Charlotte from Phoenix, where they live (and we just moved from). So when they got here, the following morning we drove to Ocean Isle Beach, NC where our whole family (8 adults and 4 kids), stayed in a 3 bedroom condo for two days. I had such a blast and I was very sad when they left. Here are som eof my favorite photos from the weekend.

My sister in law, Linda, was pulling out a cage with some captured blue crabs to show the kids. Isn’t the scenery just gorgeous? This was the view from the back of our condo.

My two boys, Charlie & Tristan.

My handsome 6 month old, Oliver.

Tristan hanging on to my little sister, Gianna, for dear life.

My husband is ever the daredevil.

I made them pull a ‘Baywatch’ for me and here is what I got. Cool, eh?

I love Linda’s facial expression here. It looks like one of those Jamaica commercials (singing)**”Let’s Get together and feel all right!”**

My brother Genaro with his girlfriend Gaby. Aren’t they such a gorgeous couple?

Funny how this happened. I told them to be “posers” and then Genaro popped up behind with this.

I just thought this was pretty.

We caught this old man sleeping at an outdoor shopping center in Myrtle Beach.

Genaro & Gaby. ‘Nuff said.

My brother Francois. Imagine this: He’s a youth preacher, and he will never grow up. Just the way I like it. I am a mother of 3 and I never wanna’ grow up either. Hehehe.

Me and my oldest son, Charlie on the merry-go-round. I am SOOOO sunburnt.

Enter to win a FREE “Trash the Dress” Session!

The WPJA is holding a “Trash the Dress” contest for WPJA photographers (me), and winners will be determined based on their originality and creativity. I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE this type of stuff and have never been able to find a willing bride to do this type of session, so here is an opportunity for any past bride out there who is willing to do whatever it takes to get amazing photos! Before entering I do want to warn you, that my mind works in very mysterious ways. Be prepared to do some very random, fun, confusing, and sometimes strange, shots. LOL!

Here’s how to enter:

1. First of all, you must have already been a bride before the session takes place, and must be willing to do whatever it takes, in your wedding dress, to get “the shot”. Photographers, who are past brides are also more than welcome! : )

2. Must be available to shoot this session on or before September 13th, 2008.

3. Post a comment below this box with an answer to this question: “If you could have lunch with one famous person or a group of famous people, who would it be and why?”

4. Send a photo of you and your wedding dress, or you IN your wedding dress. I will choose a winner based on the creativity of their answer in conjunction with the photo they send me.

What the winner will receive:

A FREE “Trash the Dress Session” that will last as long as it takes to get some amazing photos. The winner will also receive an 11×14 enlargement of their favorite image and have the rest of their images online for 30 days, giving them the option of purchasing any more they may want to have in their collection.

Good luck to all of you!
