Day at the Park
So the weather yesterday evening was just beautiful , so I decided to take Charlie, Tristan, and my little sister Gianna to the park. My camera is still in repair and I was just getting to a point where I needed to shoot something already so I called my sister-in-law in Arizona, who is also a photographer and asked her if she could let me borrow her camera for a week or two until I received my camera. She gladly agreed, and shipped it over to me. I received it yesterday, and pretty much began shooting right away at the park with my kids and little sister. My five month old stayed home with grandma. So here is what I got from last evening.
My Little Four Year Old Sister, Gianna.
My Little Three Year Old, Charlie.
My Little Two Year Old, Tristan.

Patterson Farms
I realized recently that this is supposed to be a photo blog and I have no images on it yet (since my camera is out for repair still). I figured I couldn’t use it as an excuse any more and if I wanted to keep things interesting for all of you, then I needed to post some photos. Anything would be better than nothing, right? Plus, I promise that from this day forward, I will not post any more entries unless there is at least one photo in it.
So, if you haven’t already heard or read, I am new to Charlotte (since May 2008) and anytime I am somewhere new, I like to play tourist and visit lots of places. And I LOVE taking my kids with me. In the kind of world that we are growing up in where almost everything revolves around technology of some sort, I promised myself a long time ago that I would expose my children to travel, history, architecture, and to appreciate the life that is around them. I told my husband that being in a place like North Carolina made me want to go visit a farm. About a month ago, I heard that there were only a few more days left for strawberry picking at Patterson Farms and thought it might be fun for the kids too if we went. Of course I had to bring my camera and take a few pictures (well, there were a lot more than a few) to document this day. You won’t see me in any of these shots because I hate touching anything that is sticky…and some of these strawberries were sticky from being in the hot sun, therefore I was more than happy to be behind the lens the entire time. I went with my husband, my two little toddlers Charlie & Tristan, my baby Oliver, my little sister Gianna, my mother, and some of her friends and their daughter Esti.

My little two year old, Tristan.
Tristan had no strawberries in his basket because he just kept on eating them.
This is my little 4 year old sister (yes. sister.) Gianna running through the strawberry field.
Tristan looks like he just got out of war.
This is my little 3 year old son, Charlie. Doesn’t it look like he’s thinking: “Yea, I own this place. What now?”
A friend of Gianna’s, Esti.
We ended up with four cases of these by the end of the day.
Isn’t this what summer-time is all about?
